Bringer of Good News - Hope for a Messy Church

During our series we’ve been looking at Isaiah 52:7 “How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of the messenger who brings good news, the good news of peace and salvation, the news that the God of Israel reigns!”. Our focus was how can we be bringers of hope that are authentic, compassionate, and courageous to a world that is experiencing so much turmoil at the moment. 

As we ended the series we looked at Pauls letter to the church of Corinth. The church of Corinth was divided and polarized over some issues. And as Paul addresses these things, he admonishes them -and us- to live humbly, to love loudly. and to keep the main thing, the main thing: Christ death and ressurection first and foremost. 

Our desire for each one of us is that in every situation we may respond as Jesus and that our lives, words and actions may bring the hope of the gospel. May He give us wisdom, grace and discernment when and how to respond. And in everything may we always honor him.
