Chosen Generation - 1 Peter 3: 8-22

Aug 9, 2026    Tabitha De Wachter

As we continued our journey through 1 Peter, we zoomed in to 1 Peter 3:8-22.

The passage started with peter addressing all of us with finally all of us; reminding us once again that no matter the circumstances our conduct should be reflecting the humble, tender hearted attitude of Christ suffering unjustly on the cross yet saving all of us.

We should never be afraid of what people can do to us, but rather setting Him apart as Lord in our hearts. When people, as a consequence, ask us questions about the hope that we have, we should always be ready to give an answer yet with an attitude of gentleness and respect.

No matter how isolated we feel due to our following Jesus, Peter reminds us that we are known by God, His ear and eyes are us and His promise of salvation is as certain as in the time of Noah.
