In the Bible we see that the hope for a troubled world is the good news of the Kingdom of God. Isaiah’s “Your God reigns!” was written prophetically to those living in Jerusalem after it had been conquered by Babylon. And Jesus announced that “The Kingdom of God is at hand” in the context of Roman imperial domination. What does it mean for God’s Kingdom to come in our world, and how can we as Christians play our part?
