The Kingdom Way - Judging, Pearls and Asking

Last Sunday we learned that Jesus cares about how we do relationships.

In Matthew 7:1-11, He starts with a blanket statement that feels very conclusive: don’t judge other people, but then he continues by telling a story about a speck and a beam, followed by another story about pigs, dogs and pearls.

Through those stories He elaborates on the original statement like He often does and nuances. Because life and life with people are complex. 

Jesus doesn’t give us a checklist when it comes to those difficult relationships, rather a compass for our hearts to follow. 

And with that he ends with saying what will really keep us in the right place; when we stay in the presence of the good good Father where we find all the wisdom we need in every situation.
