Walking in Faithfulness

This Sunday we were encouraged to look back and remind ourselves of the promises God made and how He has showed Himself faithful throughout our year. To then look forward and have a posture of faithfulness.

Faithfulness is not a passive thing. It's what we do with the promises of God. We know He is faithful even if we aren't. We can trust Him based upon His character and how He has moved in our lives in the past. Faithfulness is therefore an active partnership with God. It shows up in how we see God, see ourselves and our fellow believers and in our obedience to His word.

It means we listen and act upon what God leads us into. What will sustain us in this coming year is the same to what has sustained us in every season, our intimate relationship with God.
