The Kingdom Way - Light and Salt

By calling his followers salt and light, Jesus was saying they were being invited into a lasting relationship with God - a new convenant. And that invitation extends to us today. We can enter into a relationship with God freely, because of what Jesus has done on the cross. But saying yes to Jesus also comes with a new purpose: to live in a way that reflects it.

So what does that look like in real life? It is not about trying to be perfect or making ourselves look holy. It’s about letting our faith show through our good works by loving people well and serving our community, so that the people around us would see God, would find their way to the Father and praise Him.
