The Mission: The Son's Sacrifice

Why was the cross necessary for Gods redemptive plan to draw us back to Himself? Why couldn’t God just forgive and forget? 

To answer that question we looked at how God is more holy than we imagine and how our sin is worse than we admit.

Yet God’s justice was satisfied on the cross and death was defeated through the cross. 

Where the cross seemed to be a death end, it was Gods way to give us new life through it. 

Just like Jesus we are called to embrace a cross shaped life and to continually lay down our life, but what feels like dying, is often the beginning of the story God is writing for our lives.
