His Church - Loved by Jesus

The love of Christ for His church as depicted by Apostle Paul in his exhortation to the church in Ephesus was one of sacrificial love. A love that is selfless, that seeks the higher good, nourishes and feeds, and has a oneness.

Even though Jesus’ love for His bride, the church, has not changed, the reality is that we have the wounded bride. The wounded bride has tasted the bitter taste of betrayal, rejection, loss and is in pain. If not healed, the wounded bride becomes the runaway bride – forsaking her love for Jesus. The great news is that Jesus, the wounded healer is still able and willing to heal his bride and restore her to a sanctified bride.

The sanctified bride is not perfect but she receives the love of Jesus and reciprocates by loving Him, His church and His Word. She delights in building His church and shares the vision and burden of heaven. The key to restoration is accepting that she is LOVED.
