Follow - Follow Me...

What does it mean to follow Jesus? 

In our culture of social media, we use the words ‘follow’ constantly but is that the same definition as Jesus’ invitation to follow Him? 

We follow someone on social media when we admire or like someone and we want to be kept in the loop about their future endeavors. Our commitments however, are low; following someone doesn’t mean we commit to them in any way. When we lose interest, get bored or offended we unfollow with one click and move on. Social media is all about us. 

However, when we look at following Jesus, we see that He is the center and the One leading and we follow by obeying Him wholeheartedly. 

This past week we looked what the calling, the purpose and the response is to following Jesus from Mark 3: 13-15
