Marriage - The Plan for Marriage - Part II

Last Sunday we continued our series called Marriage in the light of the Gospel. We looked at the importance of embracing the differences of your spouse, and how we will only be able to do this when we look at our spouse through the lens of the Gospel. Just like Jesus didn't expect us to be like Him before loving us, we are called to love our spouses first. This will lay a foundation of safety where we can grow together and mature in not only our marriage but also our relationship with Jesus. We were designed different and it is within these differences that love can grow deeper and opportunities arise to extend the same grace to our spouses that Jesus extended to us on the cross.

Let's aim to embrace the fact that God designed us differently, embrace the challenge and conflict that that might bring. Lastly let's aim to view our spouses through the lens of the Gospel and love them the way Jesus loved us.
