Does It Even Matter? - Man, Myth, Messiah?

Paul says in 1 Corinthians 15: 12-19 that the whole of our faith hangs on whether or not Jesus was raised from the dead. If He wasn’t raised, then our preaching and our faith is futile. If He was raised, then it proves that Jesus is who He says He is: the son of God and that His sacrifice on the cross is complete and our sins are forgiven.

If the resurrection is absolutely central to our faith and redemption, how do we have certainty that it really happened? Is it because the bible says it, or is there more to it?
