Fruitful - BIRDS - Don't let them steal your fruit

One day Jesus told a parable; A sower went out to sow… Continuing the story we discover how the seed fell in 4 different places of which only one produced fruit.

Last week we started our new series Fruitful, looking at how Jesus went out to sow the word of the kingdom. We discovered fruitfulness is for everyone (not just the so called “professionals”) because the seed in itself carries life. However the difference whether or not it actually bears fruit depends on the soil, which represents our heart.

Every week we will look at one place the seed falls in the story of the sower. When it comes to the seed that fell on the road, we saw that lacking understanding made the word lay unprotected ready for the birds to snatch it away and devour it.

When we don’t understand the value of Gods word, we won’t protect it.

We protect it, when we understand the value, seek more understanding, and make sure that it gets a place in our daily life.
