Chosen: Walking with God - The Mother of Jesus

Last Sunday, we looked at Mary, the mother of Jesus, and had a closer look at the Gospel through her eyes. Mary was a first hand witness of Jesus's life, death and resurrection. She witnessed how He lived in perfect harmony with God. She was at the crucifixion and was among those waiting in the upper room.

We also saw that God doesn't just chose us to belong but He also choses us to be called for a greater purpose, to be part of the salvation story that He is writing. God revealed Jesus to Mary even before she was with child and she was conscious of her sin and need of a savior. This teaches us that God choses sinful people, like you, me and Mary. 

You are choses, both to belong to God and a spiritual family and to be called with a specific purpose hand-picked by God. The question we should ask ourselves is this: Do I accept His invitation? Do I want to be part of this amazing Gospel story that God is writing.
